Your right, the "stuttering" will go away when you are more comfortable, i.e. with more practice.

I've been told I bounce a lot too (have for 20 years). Turned it into being mobile. Now more often I just get told I move a lot. As long as it's not when you are moving in or out, because you cannot defend while your bouncing. Your opponent will just wait for you to start to settle and strike.
