Seth Godin has an interesting post today about Luxury Vs. Premium.
His point: Luxury is essentially paying extra to tell the world you can. A more subtle billboard. Part of the marketing budget.
Premium is getting extra-special value for that extra cost, though there might be a 'luxury'-type message associated with the premium product. Partly marketing budget, but also performance budget.
His second point: Which one are you selling? Do you know?
Seems like a great question to ask building commissioners.
